Te Pōhā Mātauraka o Murihiku is a rūnaka-led, educational base for localised mātauraka. A collaboration between Waihōpai, Awarua and Oraka Aparima Runaka, Te Pōhā are educational contact point for schools to support, promote and preserve mātauraka Māori in Murihiku. Our Waihōpai, Awarua & Oraka Aprarima rūnaka leaders & whānau have directed the learning to specific narratives and decided what can and should be shared within Kura, ensuring that the knowledge passed on is both culturally accurate and respectful.
